Role Summary:


The Operations Assistant calls for a high sense of responsibility and reliability, where the person will be responsible for managing vessels’ requirements, booking relevant services, issuing all relevant shipping documentation, undertaking vessel boarding and perform any other tasks related to the job. It is the right job to attain your skills and advance your opportunities with us, given our dominant position in the Marine Service industry.

Location: Piraeus, Greece (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and respond to daily emails, ensuring timely follow-up and effective communication.
  • Prepare Proforma Disbursement Accounts (DAs) accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise with vessels, port authorities, and other stakeholders to coordinate port calls and operational requirements.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for Port and Customs authorities, attending their offices when required to ensure vessel clearance.
  • Coordinate crew changes and manage a range of vessel husbandry services.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to arrange the timely provision of goods and services to vessels.
  • Deliver Cash to Master (CTM) to vessels in line with company procedures.
  • Visit vessels at Piraeus and Eleusis ports as required to provide operational support and assistance.
  • Provide general support to the operations team to ensure the smooth running of daily agency activities.


Candidate Requirements:


  • Previous experience working as a Shipping Agent or in a similar maritime operations role is desirable.
  • Good understanding of the crew change process.
  • Full, valid driving licence.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the shipping industry.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field is desirable.
  • Military service obligations completed (where applicable).
  • Based within a reasonable commuting distance of our Piraeus office and able to work on-site.
  • Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
