Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Caretaker will work 5 days out of 7, between the hours of 7:30am - 6:30pm. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hands-on caretaker to support the day to day upkeep and presentation of our residential property and communal areas. In this vital role, you'll help ensure the environment is well-maintained, safe, and pleasant for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks.

  • Maintaining cleanliness in all communal areas, including reception areas and courtyards.

  • Managing waste and recycling, including rotating bins and using cardboard compactor (full training provided).

  • Conducting regular building and grounds patrols to identify and report issues.

  • Moving furniture and equipment across the property when needed.

  • Supporting the wider team, including Maintenance and Customer Service, with day-to-day and ad hoc tasks.

  • Buffering communal floors with floor buffering machine (full training provided).

  • Performing basic outdoor care such as litter picking, sweeping, and jet-washing walkways.

  • Ensuring car parks are tidy and vehicles are parked correctly.

Skills & Experience we're looking for:

  • A strong customer service attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond.

  • Show initiative when identifying and resolving issues.

  • Experience working efficiently, independently and as part of a wider team.

  • Experience using heavy machinery including floor buffering machine and cardboard compactor or similar.
