Handyman/Helper

Job Function

The role of the Handyman/Helper is to perform mounting of furniture/home appliances, maintenance and servicing duties in the premises of the company. The Handyman/Helper will also be part of the day to day running of the logistics operations.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Ensure that the mounting of furniture/home appliances are done as per instructions from the Head of Department
• Comply with the mounting plan for all mounting operations
• Ensure that all products are handled in a secured manner to prevent damages and injuries
• Provide prompt maintenance support to ensure the smooth day to day operations
• Perform inspections as may be instructed by management and do the necessary repairs to ensure that every segment is in compliance with required standards and in good running condition
• Reception of products in the warehouse as per instruction from the Head of Department
• Inform the Head of Department in case products are damaged
• Warehousing of products in the required location
• Loading and unloading of products in the delivery truck/van
• Delivery of products at the customer’s place as per instructions provided by the Head of Department or person designated by management of the company

Profile

• Minimum SC or equivalent certificate
• Experience in mounting of furniture and in a similar work environment would be an advantage
• Physically fit and healthy and good eyesight
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Willing to work odd hours
