Head of Artificial Intelligence – LATAM

**Responsibilities:**
- Formulate and execute the LATAM AI strategy across 12 countries, delivering measurable business value through advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI capabilities.
- Establish scalable and compliant AI platforms and operating models in coordination with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity functions to enable secure adoption and digital transformation.
- Develop comprehensive LATAM AI strategy aligned with global corporate priorities and regional business requirements.
- Identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases across all business functions; establish detailed roadmaps and quantified value propositions.
- Direct the development and deployment of machine learning, analytics, and generative AI solutions, maintaining rigorous standards for time-to-market and solution quality.
- Build and advance AI platforms and MLOps capabilities, including model lifecycle management, performance monitoring, continuous integration/continuous deployment, and observability frameworks.
- Enforce Responsible AI governance protocols, regulatory compliance, risk management, and ethical AI practices in collaboration with Cybersecurity, Legal, and Compliance functions.
- Coordinate with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity to ensure AI environments are scalable, secure, compliant, and provide appropriate data access controls.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the LATAM AI team comprising data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers, and product owners; establish organizational AI literacy and capability standards.
- Oversee vendor relationships and strategic partnerships with cloud providers, systems integrators, and technology vendors; ensure accountability for delivery outcomes.
- Orchestrate AI adoption initiatives and value realization through structured change management, adoption metrics tracking, and benefits realization programs.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in AI/Data with leadership roles; experience in multinational and LATAM environments; proven delivery of AI at scale.
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related. MSc/PhD preferred. Cloud/AI certifications desirable.
- English and Spanish fluent (mandatory). Portuguese desirable.
- Leading analytics/ML/GenAI solution delivery, product/value management, platform/MLOps, vendor management.
