About the role
As a Grade 2 Humanities Teacher, you help students build strong foundations in reading, writing, and social studies through engaging, age-appropriate units. You develop curiosity about people, places, and communities while strengthening core skills like comprehension, vocabulary, discussion, and basic research. Through stories, projects, and hands-on activities, you guide students to think clearly, communicate confidently, and make connections between what they learn and the world around them.
- Teach integrated humanities units covering literacy and early social studies concepts
- Build core skills in reading comprehension, writing, speaking, and vocabulary
- Create an interactive classroom using stories, discussions, and project-based learning
- Collaborate with grade-level teammates to support student growth and wellbeing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in your subject area
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working in a bilingual setting preferred
- At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom
