What does it mean to be a Funding Income Coordinator II with GLS?

The Funding Income Coordinator II position is responsible for reviewing income documents for accuracy as well as calculating applicant income during the loan application process.

How will you drive value within the organization as a Funding Income Coordinator II?

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the funding policy in the areas of income calculation and proof of income documents
  • Understand various calculation methods and make decisions when exceptions to policy are required
  • Communicate with dealerships when additional documentation is required, providing an explanation of information needed to complete the income review
  • Provide feedback to Dealer Funding Specialists and dealerships when applicants fail to meet income requirements or when the income falls outside of the company funding policy
  • Log and review funding packages for compliance with company, state and federal guidelines, including reviewing/clearing contract errors, restructuring deals to ensure program guidelines are met, reviewing/correcting income, verifying collateral, and performing customer interviews
  • Maintain acceptable turnaround time to achieve volume targets
  • Assist with verifying customer information in aspects of income or employment as the business needs dictate
  • Maintain electronic records and files that support work performed and results
  • Foster a collaborative culture that facilitates the achievement of business plan objectives by working closely with other associates and members of management
  • Perform additional assignments and special projects as required by the needs of the company or as directed by management
  • What should you already know to be successful as a Funding Income Coordinator II?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Financial services and/or auto industry experience preferred
  • Confident self-starter that operates well with limited supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to establish priorities and properly manage multiple high priority tasks to meet deadlines as well as quality standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels inside and outside of the organization
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office required; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
  • Team player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environment

  • Employment Requirements:

  • Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity
  • Remain in a stationary position up to 100% of the workday
  • Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
  • Job functions involve sedentary to light physical effort. Physical demands range from sitting, walking, standing, or pushing or pulling materials. Work may involve exerting up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
  • Be able to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, bending, and kneeling
  • Schedule:

  • This position is full-time
  • Must be flexible to work departmental operating days and times which include Monday through Saturday, 9:00am-8:00pm.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required, including overtime hours as business demands dictate
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
