Infrastructure Specialist (all genders)
TaufkirchenFull-time
AI Summary
An Infrastructure Specialist owns end-to-end operations for facilities, hardware, tools, and systems, coordinating vendors and partners to keep infrastructure stable and mission-critical for spaceflight.
About this role
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
THE WHY
To end COPV failure in spaceflight. Every rocket part we build depends on a machine that runs, a facility that functions, and a supply chain that delivers. Infrastructure is not a support function — it is a critical enabler of the mission.
THE WHAT
You own a domain, not a to-do list. Every machine, vendor contract, process gap, fleet vehicle, and hardware decision: yours. You identify what's broken, design the fix, and see it through.
- Own infrastructure operations end-to-end: Facilities, hardware, tools, and systems run stably and without unplanned disruption. Gaps don't wait for someone else. → Accountability
- Coordinate work within the Infrastructure team: Priorities are visible, deadlines are met, and nothing slips without your knowledge and a response. → High Performance
- Manage vendors, partners, and contracts: You negotiate, maintain, and challenge external relationships. Partners deliver — and when they don't, you act. → Candor
- Be the primary infrastructure contact: Internally and externally. You give honest, informed answers — not comfortable ones. → Candor
- Manage the company fleet: Procurement, scheduling, maintenance, compliance — yours. → Accountability
- Drive infrastructure improvement projects: You identify where the company's infrastructure is falling short, build the case, and execute. → High Performance
YOUR PROFILE
- Ownership mindset — you see what needs doing and hold yourself accountable without being managed
- Generalist background — experience across, facility management, or operations, IT infrastructure; end-to-end ownership, not just contribution
- Process builder — you've created workflows from scratch; ambiguity energises you
- Vendor & contract experience — you've negotiated, set expectations, and pushed back
- Communication — direct, proactive, reliable; stakeholders are never left wondering
- On-site presence across Garching and Taufkirchen required
- German C1–C2 (must have) · English B2+ (must have)
WHAT WE OFFER
- Real ownership and visible impact in an aerospace company going to the stars
- Startup mindset: flat hierarchies, fast decisions, space for your ideas
- Your choice of benefit: Germany ticket, Egym Wellpass, or a tax-free Give Card
- Fresh meals and a strong lunch culture
- Rooftop terrace with Alpine views (Taufkirchen) and indoor garden (Garching)
- Regular team events, tech talks, and after-work gatherings
