ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Information Security Intern to join the Information Systems team to help with the review and acknowledge of alerts. Implement appropriate measure to address the alerts and close any security gaps identified in the process of review. Create a playbook to address different alerts, incorporating security incidents investigations and actions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactive review of alerts, detection of threats and vulnerabilities and attack vectors, refine prevention and detection methods
• Understand the use of the different security tools used in the company (SASE, SIEM)
• Update of the current setup and update documentation
• Support the creation of security policies and procedures
• Support the assessment of technology risks and evaluate the design and operation of controls related to the company environments and make recommendations for improvements and address security gaps
• Perform penetration testing and close any gaps identified
• Create education guide for employees, including cybersecurity training
• Risk management: identify potential risks and challenges inherent to the company and recommend mitigation actions
• Develop and document SOC procedures based on industry practices and internal requirement

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related field with focus in information security
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices and emerging trends
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Independent and resourceful
• Meticulous, proactive, positive and can-do attitudes
• Previous internship experiences in Cybersecurity will be advantageous
