About this role

Internship / Working Student – Technical Project Support (Robotics)

About Rocsys

Rocsys develops advanced hands-free charging solutions for autonomous logistics vehicles and robotaxi operators. Our technology enables fully autonomous operations by removing the need for human intervention in charging processes.

The role

We are looking for a hands on technical project support intern/working student to assist the Technical Project Manager in the final stages of several cutting-edge robotics projects.

You will work primarily from our office in Rijswijk (4–5 days per week), with occasional involvement in customer projects in the US. The assignment runs for approximately 4 to 6 months.

This role places you directly in the execution phase of real-world robotic systems that are being prepared for deployment with international customers.

What you will do

In this role, you will support the delivery of complex robotic systems by working closely with engineers and project managers. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting senior designers in the final phases of system design

  • Tracking make/buy decisions and component status

  • Maintaining and updating technical project documentation

  • Assisting with assembly, build, and system integration activities

  • Preparing systems for shipping and deployment

  • Supporting the Technical Project Manager with planning, progress tracking, and status reporting

What you will learn

You will be directly involved in multiple highly innovative robotics projects taking place in Rijswijk and the United States. These projects involve multidisciplinary collaboration between mechanical engineers, technical leads, and suppliers.

You will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Managing complex technical projects in a high-tech environment

  • Coordinating across engineering disciplines and external partners

  • Structuring and tracking end-to-end product realization (from design to shipment and commissioning)

  • Contributing directly to real-world deployment of autonomous robotic systems

What makes this role unique

This is not an observational internship, you will be actively embedded in the execution of live, high impact engineering projects.

You will work on first-of-a-kind robotic systems that move from final design stages to real deployment in logistics and robotaxi environments. Your work will directly contribute to systems being shipped, installed, and commissioned for international customers, including in the US.

You will be at the center of the action: where engineering, production, and project execution come together.

Who you are

  • You are a HBO or WO student (bachelor or master level)

  • Studying Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field

  • Strong interest technical project management, in areas such as robotics, mechanical engineering, etc..

  • Hands-on mindset and comfortable working close to hardware and assembly processes

  • Structured, proactive, and communicative

  • English is required

What we offer

We support aligning the internship with your educational requirements and provide regular feedback sessions and progress reviews.

  • Hands on experience in a highly innovative deep-tech environment

  • Close mentorship from experienced engineers and project managers

  • €500 monthly internship compensation

  • A chance to directly contribute to real-world robotic system deployment

Practical details

  • Duration: 4 to 6 months

  • Location: Rijswijk (4–5 days per week onsite)

  • Start date: Flexible / to be agreed
