IT Support Engineer

As an IT Support Engineer, you are responsible for providing first- and second-line IT support to internal colleagues across the organization. You ensure that IT systems run smoothly and act as the go-to person for hardware and software-related issues. Your base location is Wijchen, and you will also be required to work from the office in Nijmegen. From time to time, you may be required to travel and support other DFDS remote locations. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in an international IT team. Your strong communication skills and proactive approach ensure efficient and high-quality support. In this role, you operate with a high degree of independence and take ownership of your responsibilities, acting as a true self-starter in your daily work.

What will you do?

• Provide first- and second-line IT support to internal users

• Maintain, install, and configure hardware, software, and peripherals

• Handle service desk tickets and ensure timely resolution

• Contribute to IT projects across the organization

• Collaborate with international colleagues and occasionally support other locations

What are we looking for?

• MBO level or equivalent, preferably in IT

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT support role

• Experience with both hardware and software (all-round profile)

• Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus

• Able to work independently as well as in an international team, with a proactive and self-starting mindset

• Strong communication skills, proactive and service-oriented

• Participation in an on-call support rotation is required

• In possession of a valid Dutch driving license (required), due to travel between locations
