This is a full-time position based in our New York, New York, United States office. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for all IT-related queries, providing essential technical assistance to ensure our company's operational efficiency. You will be responsible for maintaining our computer systems and networks, offering a customer-focused service to all employees, and helping to drive our technology-first approach to modern farming.
Responsibilities
* Provide first and second-line technical support to on-site and remote employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
* Respond to, manage, and resolve IT support requests in a timely and professional manner using our helpdesk system.
* Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
* Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up their accounts, workstations, and providing necessary IT induction.
* Manage IT assets, including inventory tracking and procurement of new equipment.
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, user guides, and IT policies.
* Support the implementation of new IT projects and system upgrades across the organisation.
* Ensure the security and integrity of our IT infrastructure by adhering to established security protocols.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working in an IT support role or a similar technical position.
* Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
* Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Office 365 and other common business applications.
* A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
* Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira Service Management).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and patient demeanour.
* A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) is desirable.
