Java Application Developer

Essential Skills:

·Between 3-8 years of Java development experience in the financial industry, direct experience with treasury business is preferred

·Experience in Microsoft ACCESS development (VBA, Macro), and able to translate existing ACCESS programs into Java equivalent

·Strong knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server Development

·Experience in windows batch script development

·Ability to perform business analysis and requirement gathering

·Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

·Able to work independently with minimum supervision

·Preferred skills:

·Experience in Portia System V5.1i report writer’s development will have advantage.

·Able to understand VB6.0 programs

·Good and thorough understanding of bank’s front office and back office operations, finance and accounting

·Good knowledge of treasury products

·Experience in UNIX, preferably Linux (Red hat) and Solaris to the level of checking processes, writing shell scripts and checking log files.

·Strong in Oracle 10g/11G, SQL, PL-SQL

Key Roles & Responsibilities

·Requirement gathering and impact analysis for change requests, projects and new product development

·Development and support for change requests, projects and new product development

·Management of SIT and UAT phases

·Assisting with production implementation
