AECOM is seeking an experienced Junior Geotechnical Engineer to work in our Lima, Peru office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in bearing capacity, slope stability analysis, settlement and seepage assessment using geotechnical specialized software (e.g., GeoStudio, SLIDE, PLAXIS).
- Organizes, reviews, and prepares information of soil tests for analysis and processing.
- Prepare stratigraphic profiles, geotechnical sections, and instrumentation plans in programs such as AutoCAD
- High communication and collaboration with full design team.
- Draft geotechnical reports and technical documents under the guidance of a senior specialist.
- It involves developing projects that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.
- Assist in creates project designs and plans for preparing presentation and design drawings or data in coordination with his leader.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Proven experience in geotechnical laboratory practices.
- Available to travel as required
- Experience in processing geophysical tests
- Intermediate level of English
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in client management, leadership skills / relations (excellent communications skills)
- Use of Geotechnical Software advanced level Rocsience for foundations, Civil 3D, Plaxis 3D, Flac 2, Slope/W for Slope Stability, Revit, SAFE and ETABS.
