About the Role

At Hosting.com, technology is at the heart of everything we do. As a Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play an important role in enabling our people to do their best work by ensuring they have the tools, systems, and support they need to succeed.

This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives working independently. As the primary IT support resource within the local business, you will be trusted to manage your workload, prioritise effectively, and take ownership of delivering an excellent employee experience while partnering closely with the wider UK-based Infrastructure team. Success in this role requires initiative, accountability, strong judgement, and the confidence to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to IT support requests through the helpdesk ticketing system, providing timely and professional support to employees.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for all users.
  • Assist with user account administration across business systems and platforms.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the company asset registry, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware and software assets.
  • Support the setup, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, including laptops, desktops, monitors, and meeting room technology.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls and best practices across the business.
  • Support the deployment and management of applications through Microsoft Intune.
  • Produce monthly user and asset reports to support audits and ensure data accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO27001 processes and standards, ensuring users and devices remain secure and compliant.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance the overall employee experience.

What You Bring

  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written language skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting macOS environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
