We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our Logistics Operations team. This role is ideal for a highly professional individual who thrives on building long-term client relationships, driving customer retention, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across key strategic accounts.
As the primary liaison between the organisation and its most valuable clients, you will play a critical role in protecting existing revenue streams, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring operational alignment that supports long-term partnership success.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key strategic clients
- Build strong, trusted, and long-term client relationships
- Develop a deep understanding of client operational requirements and business objectives
- Conduct regular strategic engagement sessions with stakeholders
- Represent the organisation professionally in all client-facing engagements
Client Service Delivery & Operational Alignment
- Collaborate closely with internal operational teams to ensure consistent service delivery
- Monitor service performance against contractual obligations and SLAs
- Coordinate internal resources to resolve operational challenges effectively
- Ensure operational teams fully understand client expectations and service requirements
Customer Retention & Partnership Development
- Drive high levels of client satisfaction through proactive relationship management
- Resolve client concerns promptly and effectively
- Identify opportunities for value-added solutions, cross-selling, and account growth
- Implement retention strategies to protect revenue and strengthen partnerships
Performance Monitoring & Executive Reporting
- Monitor account performance metrics including revenue growth, service delivery, and customer satisfaction
- Prepare regular client review presentations and executive reports
- Analyse trends and identify opportunities for operational improvement and revenue expansion
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Requirements
- Matric is essential
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field will be advantageous
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in Key Account Management or Business Development within the Logistics or Supply Chain industry
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Logistics operations
- Experience managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Strong system literacy and proficiency in CRM platforms
- Experience working with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and SAP
- Strong capability in conducting business reviews and performance evaluations
- Experience with contract negotiations and strategic client engagement
- Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Confident in presenting business solutions and performance insights to C-Level executives
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Clear criminal record
