• To sort soiled guestroom linen as required and fill containers, label and make ready for pick-up
• To sort/count soiled linen (Food & Beverage) and fill in containers, label and make ready for pick-up
• Set aside misused linen for further investigation
• Report any articles found within the linen/chute area eg. glass, food, cutlery, needles
• Keep own working area constantly clean and tidy during day and end of shift
• Wear as advised mask, gloves for Health and Safety reasons
• Fold and pile clean towels, bathrobes for floor porters/housemen to pick-up and deliver
• Set aside and report any damaged or marked linen
• Roll into linen room all containers with clean linen ready for distribution
• If and when required to wash towels, to observe all points handling chemicals, lifting towels as trained.  If and when required to wear goggles/gloves/mask accordingly to the Health and Safety training.
• Helps out on other duties deemed necessary within linen/laundry area
• Report to Supervisor any equipment malfunctioning, or anything which may be a Health & Safety hazard
• Attend any training courses given by Housekeeping/Human Resources Department
• To make sure all Health and Safety matters are observed
• Any other work deemed necessary by the Head of Department

Qualifications

• Has experience in laundry, housekeeping, or a similar role
• Is organized, responsible, and detail-oriented
• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Works well in a team
• Is reliable and hardworking
• Is willing to learn and grow in a hospitality environment
