Lead Power Platform Consultant

This is a pivotal leadership role within the practice. As a Lead Power Platform Consultant, you will lead customer engagements, own the technical and functional direction of solutions, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across our client base. You will report directly to the Practice Manager and play a key role in shaping both customer outcomes and the maturity of our consulting capability.

Role Overview

You will take full ownership of customer engagements, working closely with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, pain points, and constraints. You will define solution roadmaps, shape delivery backlogs, and lead the design and build of enterprisegrade Power Platform solutions.

This role goes beyond configuration, you will be responsible forarchitectural decisions, onboarding readiness, environment and licensing strategy, delivery governance, and longterm platform evolution. You will also support and mentor other consultants, setting technical standards and best practice across the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Consulting Leadership & Customer Ownership

• Act as the primary consultant and technical authority for assigned customer engagements.

• Build and maintaintrusted, longterm relationships with customers at all levels, including senior and executive stakeholders.

• Own the overall customer experience, ensuring engagements are wellgoverned, outcomesfocused, and aligned to customer objectives.

• Provide strategic advice on how the Power Platform can support wider organisational transformation.

Roadmap & Solution Strategy

• Own and evolve the product and solution roadmap for each customer, ensuring alignment between business vision, technical capability, and delivery reality.

• Work with customers to define, prioritise, and maintainbacklogs of change, enhancements, and optimisation items.

• Translate business objectives into clear, deliverable solution requirements and phased delivery plans.

• Identify opportunities for platform expansion, optimisation, and reuse.

Architecture, Onboarding & Technical Authority

• Architect complex, scalable Power Platform solutions, leveraging Power Apps (ModelDriven and Canvas), Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and supporting Azure services where appropriate.

• Take ownership of onboarding readiness, including:

• • Environment strategy and configuration.

• • Security model and access design.

• • Licensing strategy and validation.

• • Account setup and resolution of access issues.

• Proactively resolve onboarding blockers related to environments, permissions, licensing, and tenant configuration.

• Build Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for new or complex customer requirements.

• Ensure solutions align to iCoTech design standards, governance, and best practice.

Delivery & Engagement Management

• Lead customer engagements through the full delivery lifecycle, from initiation and analysis through to build, test, golive, and handover.

• Run and facilitateanalysis workshops, solution design sessions, and playback meetings.

• Coordinate delivery activities, acting as the bridge between customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

• Support and oversee testing, implementation planning, and release management.

• Lead rollout activities, including user training, adoption support, and transition to BAU.

Project & Delivery Management

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong delivery and project management capability, including:

• Maintaining and updating delivery plans (or equivalent).

• Managing customer communications, risks, issues, and decisions.

• Keeping delivery information up to date within internal PMO and governance systems.

• Ensuring delivery remains controlled, transparent, and outcomefocused.

Skills, Experience & Background

Essential:

• • Proven, handson experience delivering enterprisegrade Power Platform solutions:

• • Power Apps (ModelDriven & Canvas)

• • Power Automate

• • Power BI

• • Dataverse

• • Strong consulting experience, delivering outcomes for clients across multiple engagements.

• • Experience leading or mentoring consultants and building delivery capability within teams.

• • Confident working with customers through ambiguity, translating complex needs into practical solutions.
    

Desirable:

• • Project / Programme / Portfolio Management experience (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP).

• • Experience delivering PPM, Portfolio, Programme or Operational management solutions.

• • Experience with Project Online / Project for the Web / Planner Premium.

• • Microsoft certifications across Business Applications or Modern Work.

• • Dynamics 365 experience.

• • Exposure to Azure services, Logic Apps, and Copilot / AI capabilities.

Salary & Benefits

• A great salary between £55,000 - £75,000 depending on experience.

• A standard mileage allowance will be paid for travel, and overnight accommodation for client visits is paid for.

• The company operates a Shareholder EMI scheme.
