About this role

IBMC is assisting its client, a Singapore-established group of companies with multiple international entities, in hiring an experienced ** Legal professional** to oversee all legal and compliance matters across the group.

The role will focus on ensuring that the group’s operations, partnerships, and client contracts meet legal and regulatory standards in ** Singapore and other relevant offshore jurisdictions **, with a strong emphasis on maintaining compliance and governance across all entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements across all company entities (clients, partners, vendors, employment, and internal policies).
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore, and offshore legal and regulatory requirements, particularly within the trading, fintech, and payment sectors.
  • Advise management and the Board on risk mitigation, corporate governance, and cross-border compliance matters.
  • Liaise with external legal counsels, regulators, and compliance partners when required.
  • Establish internal legal frameworks, documentation standards, and compliance monitoring processes across the Group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent; bar qualification in Singapore is an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles within trading, brokerage, payment, or financial technology industries.
  • In-depth understanding of Singapore and International laws, with working knowledge of offshore corporate structures and compliance.
  • Proven experience in drafting and managing a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and advisory skills with the ability to work across multiple international entities.
  • Willing to relocate to or already based in Bali, Indonesia.
