About this role
Hire Resolve is assisting legal organisations in hiring experienced legal professionals for multiple mid–senior level opportunities across a range of practice areas and in-house functions. This is a multi-role hiring campaign designed to attract candidates across private practice and corporate environments, with progression pathways toward senior specialist and leadership roles such as Senior Associate, Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel, Head of Legal, Compliance Lead, or Legal Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders and/or external clients
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents (e.g., commercial agreements, vendor/customer contracts, NDAs, service agreements)
- Support matters across corporate/commercial, employment, regulatory, disputes, real estate, procurement, compliance, privacy, or governance (aligned to experience)
- Manage external counsel and service providers, including budgets, timelines, and matter strategy
- Assist with compliance programmes, internal controls, and policy development, including monitoring regulatory updates
- Conduct legal risk assessments and recommend practical mitigations to support business objectives
- Support dispute management, including pre-action strategy, document preparation, and settlement discussions where appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and appropriate information handling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Operations, Security) to improve decision-making and legal processes
- Contribute to operational improvements such as contract playbooks, clause libraries, workflow automation, and matter reporting
- Mentor junior team members and uphold consistent quality standards
Requirements
- Qualifications (role-dependent):
- Law degree (LLB/JD equivalent) with relevant professional qualification for Singapore practice (where applicable)
- For Singapore-qualified advocate & solicitor roles: admission/qualification aligned to local practice requirements
- For in-house, compliance, contracts, or legal operations roles: legal qualification is preferred; strong relevant experience may be considered
- Experience: Typically 5–12+ years of progressive legal experience (private practice and/or in-house), aligned to mid–senior level scope
- Demonstrated experience in one or more areas such as commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment, regulatory, disputes, compliance, privacy, or legal operations
- Strong drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and sound judgement in managing risk
- Familiarity with common legal tools and systems (where relevant), including document management systems, matter management, e-billing, CLM platforms, and Microsoft 365
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain discretion with sensitive information
