ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate multiple types of machinery and equipment safely within limitations to handle, shape, punch, and form metal.
- Ability to read and understand measurement devices including tape measure, caliper, and various gauges.
- Ability to interpret drawings provided by Engineering department and ensure quality standards are being met.
- Accurately report labor and inventory data transactions at data collection workstations.
- Perform other job-related duties, which may include occasional tasks outside the normal scope of your job.
- Comply with all applicable ISO Standards: Quality Management System, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant policies and guidelines.
- Comply with all applicable OHSA standards: Ensures all equipment guards, safety devices, and PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) are always in place and follows safe work procedures and safety rules.
- Dependent on experience, may be called upon to train new employees, offer suggestions for improvements, set up machinery, and identify
best practices within limitations.
ATTENDANCE:
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
OTHER SKILL, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Use of hand tools and mechanical abilities to perform work assignments.
