You play a key role in the success of our restaurants! Working directly in the field, you will handle first-level maintenance, routine repairs, and the upkeep of our facilities (kitchen equipment, building, patios). Your goal: ensure our restaurants run smoothly and safely every day, while limiting the reliance on external contractors thanks to your technical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

- Routine Maintenance: Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance tasks (minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and refrigeration).
- Diagnostics & Resourcefulness: Identify the cause of simple breakdowns, perform repairs, or implement safe temporary solutions while waiting for a specialist.
- Prevention: Regularly inspect facilities to spot anomalies before they turn into major issues.
- Responsiveness: Respond quickly and effectively to technical emergencies in the restaurants to minimize impact on guests.
- Equipment Care: Take care of your work tools and ensure the cleanliness of your intervention areas.
Technical Tracking & Collaboration
- Priority Management: Organize your service requests based on urgency.
- Administrative Tracking: Fill out simple service reports and keep equipment technical documentation up to date.
- Operations Support: Collaborate with restaurant management teams to list repair needs and upcoming work.
- Vendor Support: Welcome and guide external technicians during their on-site visits, and validate with your manager that the work was properly completed.
- Safety & Standards: Respect and enforce health, safety, and hygiene regulations (CNESST / MAPAQ) during all your interventions.
EXPERIENCE
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management. Previous experience in the restaurant industry is a major asset.
- Good practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (DEP/Vocational Diploma or equivalent skills), as well as maintenance of kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
- Ability to take initiative, be productive, and collaborate effectively with restaurant teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure smooth follow-ups with managers in both French and English.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Mobility:
- Travel: High availability to travel (up to 80% of the time) to cover various restaurants in the district.
SOFT SKILLS
- You are courteous, a good listener, and genuinely enjoy helping restaurant teams. You understand that your quick intervention directly contributes to the comfort of both employees and guests.
- When faced with an unexpected technical glitch, you don't give up. You use logic, find creative solutions, and propose safe alternatives.
- The restaurant industry moves fast. You know how to stay calm and remain effective even when priorities shift suddenly or an emergency hits during a rush.
- You are meticulous in your work. Whether it’s screwing in a doorknob, cleaning up your area after a repair, or filling out your report, you take pride in a job well done.
- Since you will often be on the road (up to 80% of the time), you know how to manage your schedule responsibly, keep your appointments, and optimize your travel time.
