Purpose of Job

  • Proactively identify category opportunities and business needs to build Category Sourcing Strategy as a guideline of entire supply chain from the product innovation to the end of the lifecycle. Deploy proactive supplier management to mitigate risk and continuously improve supplier pool’s capability and performance.
  • Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • 1.Category Strategy Development and Implementation
  • Drive opportunities to optimize total value based on business needs balancing cost, speed and quality.
  • Develop Category Sourcing Strategy as a guideline of cross functions to work out their strategy and priorities.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers to well implement strategy.
  • 2.Process Excellence & Relationship Management
  • Lead sourcing process optimization to standardize and improve ways of working internally & externally.
  • To implement Supplier Relationship Management in company level per requirements of Sourcing Strategy
  • 3.Open Innovation & Supply Market Intelligence
  • Dig out internal business needs and leverage suppliers’ innovation capability as an engine to support business growth.
  • Close to supply market and bring supply market & industry intelligence to support business growth.
  • 4.Supplier & Risk Management
  • Continually develop supplier in other countries to diversify current supplier base.
  • With industry sensitivity to foresee potential delivery risk and cost headwind, and take effective solutions to secure production & protect company profits.
  • Education/Knowledge/Experience

  • Minimum request:
  • Degree: Bachelor or above; MBA is a plus.
  • English level: excellent

  • Competency:
  • 7+ years of strategic or commodity sourcing experience in FMCG multi-national corporation. From cosmetics industrials is a plus
  • Experienced to develop Category Sourcing Strategy.
  • With experience of OEM/ODM sourcing
  • With experience to develop or manage oversea supplier base
  • Successfully worked as a project leader to manage big projects across departments by proven project management skills and influence skills.

  • Relevant knowledge demand:
  • Strong communication skills with internal stakeholders and influence skills with suppliers.
  • Good capability to manage complexity and with knowledge on problem solving, strategic thinking.
