Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for the overall strategic management and development of the Service & Parts department, in all aspects of operations in order to provide customers with the highest standard of service availability nationally.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with General Manager and Regional Company Manager to develop the Company's Annual Strategic Plans and budgets.
  • Manages short and long-term objectives to ensure achievement of established targets
  • Maintains agreed profit margins
  • Prepares annual departmental budget
  • Ensures that all customer complaints regarding repairs, installation and commissioning of equipment are responded to and resolved
  • Reviews the processes regarding repair service to increase efficiency and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Manages prompt and efficient after sales service to customers for all locations
  • Liaises with the General Manager and Sales Manager on issues related to service and parts internally and at the dealer level.
  • Ensures the availability of the required tooling in proper working conditions to execute customer repairs at all times
  • Maintains a digital library of repair manual
  • Implements and monitors policies for demos/customer handovers and workshop
  • Ensures that the service department maintains safety and health standards according to Company Policies

· Manage stock levels to ensure stock is available for all service jobs as well as external customers

  • Stock Orders - Knowledgeable on the parts inventory control systems to ensure that calculations for order points and order quantities are performed properly and in compliance with the goals of the dealership
  • Inventory reporting - Creates and maintains all inventory reporting covering, Service levels and turnover, Stock order purchase ratios, Inventory nonstock to stock and stock to non-stock transitions

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in similar field, with at least three (3) years at a managerial level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
