Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Curved Rail Manufacture Department based in Newburn.
This job will involve supporting day-to-day production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing productivity, quality, efficiency, and safety across operations. You will play a key role in optimising manufacturing workflows and contributing to both business-as-usual improvements and longer-term new product introduction (NPI) activities.
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will work full-time, Monday - Thursday: 07:15 - 15:45, Friday: 07:15 - 12:15. This job is a permanent contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to develop their skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to innovative projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
To be successful as the Manufacturing Engineer, it is essential that you have previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, CAD (SolidWorks), and ERP systems would be desirable.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide support for day-to-day technical process issues in production
- Develop and optimise manufacturing workflows and procedures
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean Six Sigma)
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support the design and implementation of new processes, equipment, and projects
- Produce production documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.

Qualifications
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- HNC or Degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (desirable)
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of process optimisation and continuous improvement methods
- Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience with ERP systems and data management tools
