Thesis description

Robustness, and resilience, of organisations has gained more traction over the past couple of years; with examples ranging from increased focus on resilience of societal function in the political debate to large legal frameworks such as NIS(2) and CER.

This thesis investigates practical methods to increase robustness and digital continuity in organisations and how requirements from legislators or customers can be formulated to drive the right behaviour in the market.

From paper compliance to verified delivery capability under disruption. How should requirements from legislators or customers be formulated to increase societal robustness?

Qualifications

This thesis project is aimed at students in industrial engineering and management or similar with an interest in robustness and resilience of organisations in general.

Extent

Preferably two students, 30hp each

Practicalities

The students are expected to be partly present at the Netnod main office in Solna, Stockholm. The planned semester is spring of 2026.

Netnod will provide an on-site supervisor with relevant academic merits.

Netnod provides necessary equipment, reimbursement for travels, and a one time compensation upon completion of the thesis project.
