Material Specialist - (Saudi Arabia)

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Material Specialist to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This critical role involves managing the procurement and supply chain of materials necessary for various projects within the oil and energy sectors. You will work closely with project managers and engineering teams to ensure that all materials meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with project specifications.

By facilitating effective communication with suppliers and stakeholders, you will play an integral role in enhancing the efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute material procurement plans to ensure timely acquisition of resources necessary for project execution.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
• Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels to forecast and manage material needs effectively.
• Conduct market assessments to stay attuned to industry trends and supply chain dynamics.
• Prepare and manage procurement documentation, such as contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
• Coordinate the logistics of material transportation, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives in material management processes and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 3+ Years of relevant Work experience.
• Experience in materials procurement and supply chain logistics, preferably within the oil and energy industry.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to liaise effectively with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance and material quality.
• Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Familiarity with supply chain software and tools is a plus.
