About the Role

We are looking for a Material Handling Team Lead to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. This role will oversee the inventory, receiving, and material handling workflows, processes, team members, and quality out on the floor. You will be the first point of contact for cross-functional team leads at other Dandy locations. In the role, you will lead a team of 18+ Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory associates, in a state of the art facility in Provo, Utah. You will be responsible for ensuring that incoming packages, pallets and materials are scanned, received, sorted, and brought to their designated areas. You will also be responsible for ensuring the shop floor is sufficiently stocked, and supplied with necessary production materials, as well as all outgoing materials and finished goods.

What You'll Do

  • Operate Quickly: Support your team in prioritizing production and fulfillment warehouse operations

  • Scale: Continuously seek opportunities to improve workflows and processes for optimal efficiency and scalability

  • Data-Driven Optimization: Track key performance indicators and conduct root cause analysis to optimize resources and drive on-time delivery of high quality products, as well as ensuring the team adheres to the expected metrics for the department

  • Problem Solve: Roll up your sleeves to quickly troubleshoot and solve people, process, and technology issues as you operate within a large scale and fast paced dental manufacturing environment

  • Quality Adherence: Monitor and enforce adherence to strict standard operating procedures, and roll up your sleeves to lead by example. High quality is key to efficient scalability!

  • Inventory Monitoring: Develop and optimize workflows to ensure your team proactively stocks and tracks key inventory materials and parts and maintains accuracy according to key metrics

  • Lead: Lead, scale, and continuously train a team of 18+ Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory associates as they execute daily operational tasks

  • Collaborate: Work with other teams to proactively identify and address high priority improvement opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment that is always changing

  • Passion for breaking down complex problems into smaller manageable steps in order to help team members effectively work through the ambiguity

  • High level of comfort with digital tools and technology

  • Very high attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Team player attitude and willingness to help others to help the team exceed expectations

  • Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly

  • Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to push improvement initiatives to completion

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Knowledge of how inventory counts work

  • Experience with WMS, ERP, and/or MES/MRP systems

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing practices, and inventory management

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Google sheets, or other spreadsheet software
