MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Engineer responsible of designing, improving, validating and release mechanical tooling for production processes + machinery design, machinery upgrade, integration, and implementation. May implement mechanical related projects at plant level suc as Cobots, machine / process automation, etc.

Machinery design and integration

• Defines and updates the procedures in the plant to review and release tooling and fixtures. • Defines the application of design requirements for tooling based in DMD directions. • Administrates the mechanical drawing database. • Provides technical support for the drawing database users. • Machinery automation • Machinery upgrades • Machinery integration • Machinery / Process improvements • Drawings maintenance (updates and storage)

Qualifications

• Profesional Degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design and/or Machining Shop related activities.
• Mechanical Design Software (Solidworks); using GD&T (Geometric, dimensioning and tolerancing) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
• Knows the specifications and uses for machining materials and treatments.
• Customer oriented, Analytic thinking, structured working, teamwork and pro-active.
• High responsibility and sense of urgency, able to travel and support over in after hours if needed.
