We are looking for a Medical Assistant/Receptionist who is passionate about building connections, supporting clinical excellence, and enhancing the overall patient experience in a primary care setting.

Overview:
As a Medical Assistant with Hometown Primary Care, you’ll be a vital member of our care team — supporting physicians and providers with clinical and administrative responsibilities that ensure smooth, efficient visits and a positive experience for every patient. Your role will help foster trust, continuity, and preventive care success for patients throughout their primary care journey with us.

Duties:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors into our Care Centers with compassion and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Register patients by obtaining demographic, insurance, and payment information.
  • Handle payments for services, including applicable co-pays.
  • Answer multi-line phone system
  • Daily reconciliation of monies collected
  • Cleans and stocks the site with other members of the team.
  • Take patient histories and accurately document vital signs
  • Perform point-of-care testing: strep, mono, glucose, urinalysis, pregnancy, etc.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and prepare samples for lab processing
  • Administer immunizations and injections per provider orders
  • Assist with routine exams and procedures (i.e., EKGs, ear/eye irrigations, pelvic exams)
  • Educate patients on medication, preventive care, and follow-up instructions
  • Handle patient callbacks, pharmacy coordination, and referral scheduling
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and patient-ready
  • Support front-desk duties, including check-in, insurance verification, and payment collection
  • Participate in training and onboarding of new team members

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinical setting preferred
  • Strong E-Clinical Works Experience Preferred
  • Passion for primary care or Internal Medicine
  • Self-starter with excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Flexibility to travel within region as needed
