ABOUT LATINOBUILT
LatinoBuilt (LB) is a trade association for Latino Contractors in Oregon, a 501(c)6 whose primary purpose is to support and empower Latino-owned businesses in construction. LatinoBuilt works with partners within the community to address inequities and connect contractors to public works project opportunities.
Through strategic partnerships, member services, and workforce and business development programs, LatinoBuilt is committed to strengthening Latino-owned construction companies and expanding economic opportunities across Oregon.
Position Summary
The Membership & Engagement Manager is responsible for supporting and implementing strategies to strengthen, stabilize, and grow the organization’s membership base.
This role focuses on member outreach, engagement, and relationship-building, while working closely with the Executive Director to align membership efforts with organizational priorities. The Manager serves as a key point of connection between the organization and its members, partners and broader community.
Key Responsibilities
MembershipGrowth & Retention
- Support and implement membership recruitment and retention strategies
- Maintain and monitor membership data, renewals, and engagement trends
- Strengthen onboarding and communication processes for new and existing members
- Conduct outreach to prospective and current members to build relationships and increase participation
Member Engagement& Experience
- Serve as a primary point of contact for member communication and relationship-building
- Ensure members understand and access available benefits and opportunities
- Develop and coordinate regular member communications, including:
- Monthly newsletters
- Email updates and announcements
- Member-focused content for social media (in coordination with staff)
- Identify opportunities to improve member experience and engagement over time
Events & Community Engagement
- Coordinate and support member events, networking opportunities, and engagement activities
- Collaborate with staff and partners to ensure successful event delivery
- Represent LatinoBuilt at community events, meetings, and industry gatherings
- Build relationships with community partners and organizations serving Latino entrepreneurs and contractors
Partnerships&ExternalRelations
- Support relationship-building with members, partners, and sponsors
- Coordinate outreach and partnership activities
- Work closely with the Executive Director on key external relationships and opportunities
Systems & Operations
- Oversee membership systems and processes, including applications, renewals, and dues tracking
- Coordinate with administrative staff to ensure accurate processing of member applications, renewals, and dues collection
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and communication processes
Qualifications
Required
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- 3–5 years of experience in membership, community engagement, partnerships, or related work
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience managing projects, outreach efforts, or events
- Ability to work both strategically and hands-on
- Strong organizational and data tracking skills
Preferred
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, Communications, Marketing, Community Development,Public Administration, or related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered in place of a degree.
- Experience working with associations or membership-based organizations.
- Experience working with small businesses or the construction industry.
- Experience using CRM or membership database systems.
- Experience working with culturally specific communities
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Executive Director
Work Environment
- LatinoBuilt currently operates with a primarily in-person work environment, with some flexibility for remote work based on role and organizational needs.
- We continue to evolve our workplace practices to support both team collaboration and flexibility, while ensuring strong engagement with our members and community.
- Occasional evening or weekend events.
