ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Java Developer to join our partner - a Full Stack Software Development Services Company that works with tech companies in the US to develop innovative products.

As an engineer there, you’ll be working on high-impact projects that challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of technology. This is a place where you’ll tackle real-world problems, collaborate with exceptionally talented engineers, and build cutting-edge solutions that have a tangible impact.

You will join a software team in a fast-growing Fintech environment. You are someone who takes pride in designing and building robust backend systems and you will help power their client's Payment and Crypto wallets. You thrive on translating complex functional requirements into clean, scalable technical designs while ensuring a seamless, secure experience for clients and individual customers.

Location: Bucharest (onsite work)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and Build: Develop new features and maintain existing backend applications

  that support our partner's core financial products;

• Translate Requirements: Turn functional needs into clean, scalable, and high-quality technical architectures;

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with frontend and mobile teams to ensure seamless system integrations;

• Ensure Quality: Participate in regular code reviews and perform functional testing alongside end users to maintain high standards;

• Maintain Documentation: Keep technical documentation accurate and up-to-date throughout the implementation process;

• Solve Complex Issues: Act as a key troubleshooter for backend bottlenecks and technical hurdles.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;

• Strong experience in Java development, specifically with Java EE, JPA, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Security;

• Deep understanding of Public Clouds, with hands-on experience in AWS;

• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes;

• Solid background in CI/CD practices to ensure reliable software delivery;

• Experience or a strong interest in software security concepts, ideally within the context of fintech applications;

• Ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code;

• Excellent communication skills in English;

• Proven track record in investigating and resolving complex technical problems;

• Agile mindset: Proactive, communicative, and ready to contribute to all stages of the product lifecycle;

• Ownership and accountability: You take responsibility for the quality and consistency of your code;

• Problem-solving mindset: An adaptable approach to tackling technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
