Responsibilities
- Potential to lead small CAD and engineering working groups in the development of drawings, specifications, and estimates for the final design of bridges, walls, and standard minor structures (culverts, entrance structures, etc.).
- Assist the Senior Engineer in the development of definition of task scopes, schedules and budgets for the deliverables of the structural designs.
- Identify and understand the technical requirements of design projects and implement engineering principles to develop solutions.
- Identify, interpret, and apply design standards and codes; ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Using the company's design criteria and tools, it performs structural calculations and the design of structures and foundations according to industry standards.
- Participate in technical reviews in the conceptual and final design stages of project development. Conduct interdisciplinary reviews for design coordination and compliance with contract documents.
- Lead technical meetings and discussions and design strategies for solutions to complex or unique technical problems.
- Identify technical differentiators and develop schemas for key project activities.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree like Civil Engineer or related fields. Master’s degree (Desirable)

8-15 years of experience in bridge design and construction.

Experience with MDOC-CFE, IMCA, IMT, SCT, AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI and other Mexican and North American design codes and standards related to the industry.

Experience with engineering design software, ie programs such as SAP2000, CSiBridge, MIDAS, STAAD Pro, PGSuper, etc.

Experience in Superstructure (Prefabricated / Prestressed, Supported with Cable, Steel Beams, etc.), Substructure (Concrete Pedestals, Steel Pedestals, etc.), Foundation (Piles, Piles), Analysis and Design.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members.

Effective English communication (both oral and written).
