Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint two experienced Engineers with an M&E background or Civil & Structural background to train with us to become a Monitoring & Evaluation Project Lead on either a freelance or employed basis (negotiable). This person should have a proven experience in understanding and working on large scale developments and preferably PPPs in Greece and should have an ability and willingness to learn and meet new challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a mechanical, electrical or Civil & structural degree and good understanding on how contracts are structured and projects are evaluated based on site progress.
Acting on behalf of our customers (Greek & International Banks) who provide funding for commercial developments, PPPs or Concessions, your role will be to independently assess infrastructure projects from a cost and feasibility perspective and act as a trusted advisor to confirm milestones and authorise budgets as the builds progress (inception to completion).

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of the role of project monitoring, technical advisor & independent engineer/certifier appointments
- Establishing effective processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project life
- Tracking and documenting changes
- Good understanding of evaluating Life Cycle Costings & Construction elemental budgets
- Working closely with funding bodies/ clients
- Liaising with the client, contractors and designers
- Producing regular reports in English whilst managing deadlines on projects with a construction cost range of €500k – €150M
- Attending and chairing meetings
- Willing to persevere with challenges
- Willing and able to operate as part of a team and autonomously
- Fluent in Greek & English (written and spoken)
- Relevant degree qualified with 5 years plus relevant experience
- Be conversant in project finance terminology and working practices is beneficial
- Be conversant in PPP terminology and working practices
- Have both private and public sector experience
The role will also extend in undertaking Technical Due Dilligence surveys on behalf of investors (acquisition & or disposal of assets).
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Fluent in Greek & English (written and spoken)
- Relevant degree qualified with 5 years plus relevant experience
- Degree qualified in mechanical or electrical Engineering (building services)
- Be conversant in project finance terminology and working practices is beneficial
- Be conversant in PPP terminology and working practices
- Have both private and public sector experience
