Murex Technical Lead

The Murex Technical Lead is responsible for the architecture, development, configuration, integration, and environment management of the Murex MX3 platform. The role bridges treasury business requirements with scalable technology solutions, leading technical teams, automation initiatives, and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead the technical architecture and development of the Murex platform.
• Design and oversee MxML, Mx3 configuration, and integrations with TMS, payment hubs, and core banking systems.
• Optimize real-time and EOD batch processing, automation, and performance.

Delivery & Automation

• Drive technical delivery across Front-to-Back-to-Risk (IRD, FXMM, Fixed Income, Commodities).
• Implement DevOps, Onyx/MxTest, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Manage environments, releases, and deployment processes.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor Murex developers and engineers.
• Establish engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with business, risk, and external partners.

Production Support

• Lead resolution of critical production issues.
• Support Oracle/Sybase, UNIX/Linux, Shell/Perl scripting, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of hands-on Murex MX3 experience.
• Strong expertise in MxML Exchange, Datamart, Workflows, and Market Data (MDCS).
• Experience with Oracle/SQL Server/Sybase, UNIX/Linux, Shell scripting, Kafka, automation, and batch architecture.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Team Lead, or Platform Architect role.
• Experience in Agile, PMO, and financial institutions.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Murex certifications and Middle East/KSA banking experience are advantageous.
