We are looking for a Senior Network Technician to lead and support network-focused infrastructure projects in a Microsoft-centric MSP environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and secure network design.
The Senior Network Technician will focus on building, improving, and maintaining client network environments while ensuring solutions are secure, well-documented, and aligned with best practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and implement network infrastructure projects for MSP clients
- Configure and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking environments
- Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Assess client network environments and recommend improvements
- Ensure network solutions follow security best practices for SMB and mid-market clients
- Document network configurations, changes, processes, and client environments
- Work closely with the vCIO, Service Desk, and project teams to deliver seamless client support
- Communicate project updates, technical recommendations, and implementation plans clearly to clients and internal teams
- Participate in after-hours support rotation when needed
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of progressive experience in networking, IT infrastructure, systems administration, or MSP environments
- Strong experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and related network infrastructure
- Strong understanding of network security, segmentation, access control, and best practices
- Experience leading or heavily contributing to network projects and implementations
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently
- Strong documentation and knowledge management skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- MSP experience is strongly preferred

- Microsoft 365 (Entra ID/Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)
- Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy
