We are urgently seeking compassionate and reliable Night Care Professionals to join our care team at Home Instead Edgbaston Birmingham, United Kingdom. In this essential role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients during overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals while working as part of a dedicated healthcare team.
- Provide direct personal care and support to clients during night shifts, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the day care team and management
- Maintain accurate and detailed care documentation and records in accordance with organizational protocols
- Respond promptly and compassionately to client requests and emergencies
- Ensure clients' safety and security throughout the night, conducting regular welfare checks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families regarding care needs and any incidents
- Follow all health and safety procedures, safeguarding policies, and duty of care requirements
- Work independently while maintaining professional standards and best practices
- Support clients with medication administration as per organizational guidelines and training
- Identify and report any safeguarding concerns or potential risks immediately
Qualifications
- Proven experience in care work, healthcare, or a related support role
- Strong empathy and genuine compassion for vulnerable individuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work reliably on night shifts and maintain consistent attendance
- Physical stamina and ability to assist clients with mobility and personal care
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in problem-solving
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and safeguarding principles
- Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and respecting client dignity
- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience with care documentation systems and record-keeping
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Team collaboration skills and willingness to communicate with colleagues
- Understanding of duty of care and professional boundaries in healthcare settings
