Position Summary

The Obstetrician/Gynecologist provides comprehensive medical and surgical care related to women’s reproductive health. This physician manages obstetric care throughout pregnancy and delivery, provides gynecologic care across the lifespan, and delivers patient-centered care in outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum management

  • Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions and perform preventive women’s health services

  • Perform gynecologic and obstetric surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and minimally invasive surgeries

  • Conduct routine exams, screenings, and family planning services

  • Manage acute and chronic conditions related to women’s reproductive health

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, anesthesia, pediatrics, and maternal-fetal medicine

  • Educate patients on reproductive health, pregnancy, contraception, and preventive care

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and continuing medical education activities

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

  • Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program

  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

  • Unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state

  • Strong clinical, surgical, and communication skills

Work Environment

  • Outpatient clinics, hospital inpatient units, and surgical settings

  • Includes on-call responsibilities, nights, weekends, and deliveries
