Description
Performs professional Occupational Therapy activities consisting of planning and implementing individual and group treatment activities in a collaborative child- and family-centered service delivery model.
Responsibilities

- Inform patient and family goals and progress.
- Maintain a full-time caseload that may include children and families receiving services through insurance, school-based services, consultation, or private pay models of service delivery.
- May supervise students.
Responsibilities and Requirements unique to this location:
- Must be willing to become proficient in working with children with vision issues.
- Provide and gain expertise in feeding therapy as it relates to sensory development and progression
- Work two days a week until 6 pm - most children will not be diagnosed with vision therapy needs until they are school aged.
- Participate in continuing education/training geared towards vision and feeding therapy
- Understand and incorporate vision development if indicated in OT plan of care.
- Fine motor performance as it relates to vision development
- Reflex Integration exercises.
Skills, Qualifications, and Certifications/Licensure Requirements
- Current license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as an Occupational Therapist OR eligible to sit for the exam. License must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Professional writing skills that include the ability to reflect medical necessity in documentation and communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team as well as other stakeholders in a child’s plan of care.
- Time management skills necessary to meet clinic requirements for clinician efficiency as well as documentation and billing timeframes.
