Odoo QA / Test Engineer

Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Fully Remote / Australian Time

Role Summary:

This is a dedicated quality assurance role responsible for owning the test function across all technology releases. Currently there is no dedicated QA resource - this hire closes that gap and directly improves release confidence across a growing franchise network.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own functional testing for all Odoo releases before they reach live environments

• Build and maintain regression test suites covering core franchise workflows — POS, inventory, purchasing, store onboarding

• Verify store onboarding environments before go-live — configuration, permissions, data integrity

• Write and maintain test cases from requirements provided by the Product Manager

• Log, categorize, and track bugs through to resolution

• Coordinate UAT with the operations team where required

• Develop repeatable test processes that reduce manual overhead over time

• Contribute to test automation as capability and tooling allow

What You’ll Need:

• Demonstrated functional QA experience, ideally in ERP or retail system

• Odoo experience strongly preferred

• Methodical, process-driven, and highly organized

• Strong documentation habits — test cases, bug reports, and release notes need to be clear and consistent

• Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Monday.com, or similar)

• Strong written English for communication with the broader team

• Able to work independently and manage their own test schedule against sprint cycle
