Based out of our Brainard Funeral Home location in Wausau, this full-time Office Manager will oversee daily operations across our Wausau/Merrill area funeral homes, including Brainard, Helke, and Taylor-Stine-Waid. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve as a steady, welcoming presence for families and staff alike, while keeping our teams organized, connected, and running smoothly behind the scenes.
What You'll Do
- Greet and welcome visitors and answer incoming calls
- Provide information and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members
- Manage daily office operations and maintain clean, organized environments
- Oversee scheduling, calendars, and coordination across our area locations
- Handle accounts receivable/payable and basic banking tasks
- Maintain financial records and documentation
- Organize and maintain files, documents, and records
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and administrative support
- Manage office supplies and place orders as needed
- Support social media updates and online presence
- Coordinate internal and external communications on behalf of our locations

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with basic accounting or banking tasks
- Familiarity with social media platforms is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Prior administrative or office management experience preferred
