The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Operations Administrator to join our growing Brisbane manufacturing team. This role is the entry point for multiple pathways in our office team - it suits someone who values structure, enjoys helping others, and takes quiet pride in getting things done accurately and on time. You’ll be part of a stable, supportive team where your manager has your back and clear processes make your work easier. You will see your work progress from your desktop, through the office, and onto the factory floor - turning into a finished product all under one roof.
The Role
This is an exciting, fast-paced role where you will be an essential part of a friendly team, learning exactly how a growing manufacturing business operates from the inside out.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Job Entry: Create and release production jobs in our business system and maintain accurate records.
- Production Packs: Prepare job packs and drawings for the shop floor to ensure the workshop team has everything they need before they start.
- Materials Tracking: Help with purchasing and tracking incoming materials so everything arrives on time for the team.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate bookings and prepare paperwork to get our finished products out to customers.
- Project Support: Assist with costing support in Excel and help keep our internal project information updated and accurate.
- Team Assistance: Provide daily administrative support to help our office managers keep everything running smoothly.
Reporting to our Production Control Manager, this role is explicitly designed as the entry point into our office team. We are hiring now due to an internal promotion, creating a fresh opportunity for someone new to join our growing team. You will receive structured training and get to rotate through different areas, opening up multiple progression pathways into more specialised roles with more responsibility as your skills grow.
Ideal Candidate
You don't need specific industry experience to succeed here – we hire for smarts, work ethic, and a genuine desire to learn. You will be naturally organised, reliable, and find satisfaction in following a process to the end.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Methodical: You enjoy following a process and have high attention to detail - you hate leaving tasks half-finished.
- Comfortable with Tech: You are good with Excel and can pick up new software tools quickly.
- Positive and Productive: You enjoy a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks with a helpful attitude.
- A Team Player: You are helpful, friendly, and happy to jump in and help colleagues when the team needs a hand.
- Reliable: You are punctual, consistent, and proud of being 'the person who gets things done'.
You will ideally have office administration experience with extra points for 'production environment' experience such as a quick-service restaurants, trades services, manufacturing, or anywhere else where the team works together to make something.
