About this role

The Role:

The Operation Manager is responsible for the day-to-day performance of our fleet across all active markets. While the Asset Control Manager owns the vehicle and procurement side, the Operation Manager owns what happens once vehicles are in the hands of our fleet partners — driver onboarding rates, utilization, maintenance and repair follow-through, insurance claims, and partner accountability. This role requires someone who can hold partners to high standards while maintaining strong working relationships. The role is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to build and eventually run an operation from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Performance Monitoring

    • Own the day-to-day operational performance of the fleet across target markets.

    • Track utilization and occupancy rates by partner, city, and vehicle model against internal targets.

    • Identify underperforming partners or vehicle segments and develop action plans with the partner to recover.

    • Escalate persistent underperformance to the CEO with a recommendation — including potential vehicle withdrawal.

  • Fleet Partner Management

    • Serve as the ongoing operational point of contact for fleet operator partners once vehicles are deployed.

    • Push partners on driver onboarding pace, training quality, and onboarding conversion rates.

    • Coordinate on maintenance and repair — ensure vehicles are serviced on schedule and off-road time is minimized.

    • Manage insurance claims in coordination with fleet operator partners— track open claims and follow up to resolution.

    • Conduct regular partner check-ins (weekly cadence) and produce structured performance summaries.

  • Reporting & Data

    • Build and maintain the operational reporting framework: weekly fleet dashboard, monthly business review inputs.

    • Work closely with the FP&A Analyst to ensure operational data feeds into financial performance tracking.

    • Track KPIs across driver acquisition rates, vehicle utilization, maintenance costs, and revenue per vehicle.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in fleet operations, mobility operations, logistics, or rideshare platform management.

  • Experience working directly with fleet operators, rental companies, or driver-facing mobility businesses.

  • Strong analytical mindset — comfortable with KPIs, dashboards, and holding partners accountable to numbers.

  • Excellent relationship management skills — firm but collaborative; able to drive performance without damaging partnerships.

  • Entrepreneurial orientation — excited about building processes where none exist, not just executing a playbook.

  • Experience with vehicle leasing models is a strong plus.

  • Proficient with Excel, the Microsoft Office suite, and Google Workspace; working knowledge of Python is a strong plus for data analysis and automation.

  • Bilingual Spanish/English required.

  • Based in Monterrey or willing to relocate — travel to CDMX/Guadalajara expected.
