Position Overview
GTI Fabrication is seeking a Production Supervisor – Modular Data Center to support daily manufacturing operations for complex, build-to-order modular data center systems. This role is responsible for supervising production activities across electrical integration, structural assembly, and final system builds within a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on manufacturing leadership experience, strong electrical and production knowledge, and the ability to lead skilled trades teams on the manufacturing floor. This individual will play a key role in driving safety, quality, production efficiency, and on-time delivery while supporting the continued growth of GTI’s modular data center operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership & Floor Execution
Supervise daily production activities for modular data center builds to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are achieved
Lead and support electricians, assemblers, welders, and manufacturing technicians on the production floor
Coordinate labor, materials, and workflow between electrical, mechanical, and structural assembly operations
Monitor production schedules and escalate risks impacting delivery timelines
Ensure production teams maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Drive accountability, communication, and execution across assigned production areas
Electrical & System Integration Support
Support installation and integration of electrical systems including power distribution equipment, switchgear, UPS systems, and control panels
Assist with troubleshooting electrical and assembly-related production issues
Ensure builds are completed in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Support system testing, commissioning activities, and factory acceptance testing (FAT)
Promote compliance with NEC, UL, and internal quality standards throughout production
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production Planning teams to support production execution
Communicate material shortages, technical concerns, and schedule risks to leadership
Review production drawings, BOMs, and work packages for readiness before release to manufacturing
Assist with implementation of process improvements and manufacturing best practices
Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and production ramp-ups
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Champion a strong safety-first culture aligned with OSHA and GTI standards
Ensure employees follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and manufacturing processes
Support quality inspections, rework reduction, and corrective action activities
Maintain production documentation, standard work instructions, and shift communication logs
Lead by example in maintaining quality workmanship and operational discipline
Operational Excellence
Monitor daily production metrics including throughput, efficiency, labor utilization, and on-time delivery
Identify production bottlenecks and support corrective actions to improve flow and efficiency
Assist with workforce training, cross-training, and employee development
Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, 5S activities, and continuous improvement efforts
Help drive operational scalability to support GTI’s continued growth
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience preferred
3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations leadership
Hands-on experience working with electrical systems, industrial manufacturing, or complex assemblies
Experience supervising production employees, electricians, assemblers, or skilled trades teams
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and BOMs
Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and production processes
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in modular manufacturing, data centers, power systems, or mission-critical infrastructure
Background supporting electrical integration, switchgear, control panels, or industrial power distribution systems
Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies
Prior experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth manufacturing environment
Licensed Electrician or strong electrical field experience is highly preferred
