Outside Sales Representative, FP

We're looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow our Fire Protection Service business by developing new customer relationships and expanding existing accounts.

What You'll Do

As our Outside Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing customized service solutions, and becoming a trusted advisor to building owners and facility managers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship building.
• Growing recurring revenue through inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) agreements.
• Selling repairs, deficiency corrections, system upgrades, tenant improvements, and code compliance solutions.
• Meeting with customers to evaluate fire protection systems and identify opportunities to improve reliability and compliance.
• Preparing estimates, proposals, and service agreements tailored to each customer's operational and budgetary needs.
• Presenting solutions to facility managers, property managers, building engineers, contractors, and business leaders.
• Building lasting customer relationships through regular account visits and proactive recommendations.
• Working closely with our service operations, project management, inspectors, and technicians to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
• Managing your sales pipeline and forecasts using our CRM system.
• Staying current on NFPA standards, industry regulations, and emerging fire protection technologies.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, understands the fire protection industry, and thrives in a consultative sales environment.

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years of fire protection industry experience, preferably in service sales.
• Experience selling inspection, testing, maintenance agreements, repairs, or fire protection system upgrades.
• Knowledge of commercial fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes, backflow preventers, and applicable NFPA standards.
• A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to identify customer challenges and recommend value-driven solutions.
• Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the service territory.
