Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Instructor . This position will develop, implement, validate, and maintain training and course material at the 319th Combat Training Squadron (CTS), Peterson SFB CO for the Spacepower Discipline 2 (SPD2) – MW/MD course and other courses, as assigned.
What you will be doing:
Design and develop courseware consistent with Instructional System Development (ISD) to satisfy government training requirements
Provide in-residence classroom instruction on-site at the 319 CTS, Peterson Space Force Base
Develop schedules and oversee execution of MW/MD courses
Conduct, manage, and qualify for courses based on 319 CTS instructions and other guidance as identified in lesson plans
Coordinate instructional activities with peer instructors and government training personnel
Interface with internal and external agencies as required to maintain up to date training
Work on-site at Peterson Space Force Base – minimal telework
Additional duties as assigned
What you will need:
Current Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility
Expert knowledge in space battle management and/or missile warning
Expert knowledge of Overhead Persistent Infrared and/or Ground-based RADAR systems
Expert knowledge of missile warning sensors, processes, and architectures
Expert knowledge of missile warning command and control
Working knowledge of missile defense activities and concepts
Working knowledge of infrared exploitation products and support
Working knowledge and experience with training systems and training programs
Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience of military, government civilian and contract personnel. Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or similar joint instructor course preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Required Experience:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in relevant field (preferred); Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirement.
4 to 8 years of experience with USAF/USSF/USA operations and or training in the OPIR MW/MD field either in industry, or with a U.S. Government agency
