Purpose:
Wettermark Keith is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Workers' Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys in the management of workers' compensation claims. This role is responsible for workers' compensation case management, client communication, medical records review, and preparation of legal documents to help move cases efficiently from intake through resolution.
This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Birmingham office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of workers' compensation matters.
- Communicate regularly with workers' compensation clients regarding case status and next steps.
- Request, review, and organize medical records and supporting documentation.
- Draft correspondence, legal documents, and settlement-related paperwork.
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, employers, and opposing counsel.
- Prepare files and materials for hearings, mediations, and attorney review.
- Maintain accurate case notes and ensure timely follow-up on all matters.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of paralegal, legal assistant, or relevant claims experience.
- Prior workers' compensation experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
