Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for customers seeking parts and equipment for agricultural & industrial material handling systems, such as grain elevator legs, drag, screw and belt conveyors, and other related equipment
- Handle incoming customer calls, emails, and web inquiries, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide technical assistance based on system specifications and application needs.
- Monitor and process web orders and provide online assistance as needed.
- Work with existing customers to maintain strong relationships and help identify additional needs.
- Maintain parts inventory through order receiving, locating, shipment, and related duties.
- Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with feed and grain handling systems and related components preferred.
- Experience in sales or parts counter roles within agricultural or industrial supply sectors preferred.
- Effective communication skills with a customer-first approach.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and part specifications.
- Computer skills utilizing Microsoft office applications, Adobe PDF, and iPad technology.
- CAD software knowledge a plus but not required.
- Must be a self-motivated problem solver and eager to develop within the company
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Self-driven with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to sell, maintain customer relationships, and acquire new customers.
- Willing to learn the feed & grain industry.
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Research skills for locating and sourcing parts and solutions.
Education, Training, and Experience
- College degree or 2+ years of related field
- Sales/Customer Service experience
- Feed and Grain industry experience
- Manufacturing industry
Work Context
- Majority of time spent working directly with customers, solving problems, and coordinating with internal teams.
- Internal parts and warehouse management through receiving, shipping, and locating orders
- Regular communication with all levels of customers and company personnel via phone, email, and in-person.
- Must wear protective/safety equipment as required (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
Special Requirements
- Valid driver’s license/insurable driving record
- Must pass pre-employment work-style survey, PPPO, general physical, and drug screen.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Schedule
- 8-hour, day shift, Monday through Friday 8-5
