Role

The role of the Resident is to work out their calling in ministry through theological and

practical equipping in the program, as well as use what they are learning to pastor and

lead those they are responsible for.

Responsibilities

• Commit 40 hours per week to the Residency, its objectives, and its work.
• Realize this position reports directly to the Senior Pastor or his staff as directed.
• Meet regularly with the Residency Director and Pastoral Staff for feedback, development, and training.
• Work out their call to ministry and what the Lord would have them do.
• Serve with joy and helpfulness.

• Support the vision and mission of Community Bible Church through word and deed.

Tasks

• Complete all homework, assignments, and ministry work with timeliness and Excellence.
• Seek out regular feedback from CBC Pastoral Staff and Residency Director.
• Attend staff meetings and any other meetings determined necessary by the Senior Pastor.
• Focus on youth ministry while learning about various areas of church ministry.

Qualifications

• A follower of Jesus
• Believe to be called to Pastoral Ministry
• Meet qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9
• Agree with the Doctrinal Statement of CBC
• Be, or be willing to become, a member of CBC
• Attend church regularly and be actively involved in CBC
• Have the heart of a team player, joining the CBC team to be further equipped as a future pastor where God leads
• At least 2 years of Bible College or Seminary training preferred
