Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

A great Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is looking for an experienced, hard-working Physical Therapist Assistant to join their growing team in Bakersfield, CA.

The PTA works under the direction of a Physical Therapists. Licensed physical therapist assistants possess a great deal of responsibility in providing treatment and rehabilitative services to patients who have experienced injury or disabling disease.

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act
• Assist patients in reaching his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities
• Uses technical skills to deliver care interventions and therapeutic modalities
• Provide patients with exercises, massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction and ultrasound, among other assigned dutie

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
• State License/registration in California
• CPR and basic lifesaving skills certification
