Right now, we are seeking a Prep Cook | Event Cook to assist with multiple pop-up events that occur on roughly a weekly basis around Boston’s best breweries.
In this role, you will own the preparation of the most delicious Polish street food. This includes preparing large batches of a variety of handmade pierogi, sausages, and everything in between. You’ll be responsible for consistency in your approach both in preparation and at multiple event locations. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking part-time, seasonal employment at fun events around the Boston metro.

- You’ll learn the entire process of making our products from scratch, using locally sourced ingredients from start to finish. The majority of your attention and detail would be spent on preparation – the phase where most of the flavor is captured.
- You’ll prepare the pierogi dough, the fillings, composition, and preservation in addition to grinding & stuffing kielbasa/sausages.
- You’ll improve upon your speed and finesse as your master several culinary techniques.
- You’ll be one of our brand ambassadors - speaking to the ingredients, techniques, and culture behind our food – at events with hundreds of customers while cooking on-site
- Prepare for service before the meal in ever-changing venues and spaces
- Take down event tents, tables, and other event related materials
- Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, and other equipment
- May assist with inventory, stocking, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- We’d prefer two years of related food preparation experience in the hospitality industry. However, you must have culinary ability to execute recipes with the technical understanding of all cooking methods involved.
- Have the ability to maintain a positive attitude and communicate with co-workers with professionalism and respect
- Have the ability to work with a changing and flexible work schedule that is dependent on business-need, including working nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds
- Must have strong multi-tasking and organizations skills
- Must have proficiency with kitchen tools and equipment without restrictions
- Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
- ServSafe certification would be a plus but not required
- Culinary Arts degree would be a plus but not required
